Ellen Todd  is  a watercolor artist, painting still lifes, botanicals, and landscapes. Her work also includes vignettes – small scenes that tell a story. She is influenced by her interest in antiques, flowers and gardens; domestic and foreign travel; and inspiration from her daily travels in Groton and nearby towns.

Ellen’s exposure to art and early education began with excellent public school art teachers Martha & Alan Ferguson, in Stow, MA. Her mother was also an artist, with a gallery in Rockport, MA, and provided informal training throughout Ellen’s childhood. Ellen continued to learn by taking drawing classes while majoring in foreign languages at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
